Question: So tell us about you and your background, and where you from?

Answer:  My name is Nikki.  I was born and raised in Thailand.  As a child, I dreamt of being a hair stylist, make-up artist and/or a model.  I loved playing beauty and dressing up.  I always wanted to get my picture taken and would jump in front of the camera every chance I had.

CS: So tell us about you and your ur background (nationality),and where you from?

Genevieve: I was born in the month of December, Sagittarius BABYYY. I am 18 years young (probably will be 19 by the time this is out). The first question everyone always seems to ask me is, “What nationality are you?” and I always respond, “What do you think I am?” and everyone is always stumped. I like to think I am a very unique mix, I am half italian and half arabian. I was born and raised in Long Beach, and now reside in Riverside to achieve my B.A.. degree in Art.

CS: Wich person has influenced you the most in modeling?

Genevieve: When i was little I could remember the hours I spent looking through magazines appreciating the models i thought were pretty and the ads that stood out to me. I even ripped out all the pages I liked and made future “portfolio books”. I would have to say I do not have one certain influence, but anything that is new, and unique certainly influences me.

CS: So Genevieve, how did you go about building your career?

Genevieve: I actually really had no intention to become a model, I sort of got pulled into this modeling industry. I was contacted on Myspace by a clothing company, and agreed to my first shoot. At that shoot, I was approached by four more people that really wished to work with me, my career was taking off. The next two weeks i was booked solid. After that day, the offers just kept coming my way. I have been fortunate enough to never have to go seeking out jobs. Today, I do just more than model for clothing companies; I also work car shows, art shows, body painting exhibits, and help photographers update their portfolios.

CS: So it seems you have been in the modeling game for a bit what fashion shows have you did and for who they were with?

Genevieve: I have actually only been in the modeling game for 3 months believe it or not. I have not done any fashion shows, but have modeled for numerous clothing companies.

CS: What advice can you give inspiring Models out there?

Genevieve: Well my first advice is to never give up, if you really want it, go for it with all you heart. It doesn’t matter what you look like or how tall you are. I am proof short models can make it, standing tall at 5′1. Modeling also takes a lot of patience, so do not get frustrated.

CS:so tell us about you and your ur background,and where you from?

ashlyn phelps:
I was born and raised in a small town in Colorado called Woodland Park. Beautiful little quaint town, although just not for me. I played volleyball for eight years and really thought that was my calling. Had several scholorship offers, but because of several changes in my life I choose to go another direction. I have always been a free spirit…I love my family and devote everything to my daughter. I strive off of laughter, ambition, drive, and believe that my dreams are there for a reason. I am currently going to college full time with a major in graphic design and a minor in architectural design. I am in love with how promising my future looks! The other aspect of my life of course would be the modeling. I do it for me and I do it for fun. The types of people you meet in the industry can be some of your best friends or your worst enemy’s. Its truely a super faced paced lifestyle and you have to be diciplined enough not to let it affect your personal life. My life is rather complex but worth every second.

CS:wich person has influenced you the most in modeling

ashlyn phelps:
I don’t really have one person imparticular…my level of modeling is primarily for fun and to network and to create a positive image for myself in my career. I would have to say my biggest inspirations would be women such as Tyra Banks (so cliche I know) because of the fact that they used their beauty on more then just the catwalk. Knowledge is the key to success and I think a lot of people forget that. You can be a pretty face but be dumb as a rock and it won’t get you anywhere. Tyra has taken her image and applied it to positively impact the younger generation by helping women be strong and know that they are beautiful irregardless of what our media and “so called expectations” tell you. The strongest women in the industry, such as herself, will leave more of an impression on the younger generations who are trying to be successful because they tell you how its not all about the money and the fame. It’s about your passion and what your willing and able to do to generate the best life possible for yourself while following your dreams and maintaing a moral balance.

CS:so ashlyn  how did you go about building your career

ashlyn phelps:
My career in modeling honestly started with just being silly and taking pictures of myself and putting them up on my myspace and facebook. Aside from that working in promotions and in night clubs really helped because I was able to meet new faces every week and put my name out there. After I started networking and becoming a little more notorious in the “night life” industry I stared getting offers to do photoshoots or flyers and what not. Like I said, mine has been more for fun then anything. There is good money in it, but it really is something I enjoy doing and that can help my future out dramatically. NETWORKING is key…if you can maintain good character and start putting yourself out there then people will want you to work for them. I believe that my ability to make people laugh while at the same time always maintaining good composure and professionalism has helped. You have to have a quality that people wil remember.

CS:so youv’e been in the modeling game for a bit what fashion shows have you did and for who they were with

ashlyn phelps:
Fashion shows are my favorite part. I have done quite a few for aspiring clothing designers who do things locally as well as larger shoots for names such as Ed Hardy and BeBe. I have done fashion shows for a few charitible events and quite a few at nightclubs during things such as the All-Star games and major concert events in the city as well. Aside from just doing clothing lines I have done fashion shows to sponsor tattoo artists and body paint artists. They are fun for sure and really allow your personality to shine.

CS: wat advice can you give inspiring Models out there?

ashlyn phelps:
The best advice I can give is to just stay true to yourself. Don’t forget what it is about you that people love! The industry is so fast paced and the ratio of fake people to real people is scary. If you can maintain a good image, good morality, and the passion to reach your dreams then you can be unstoppable! Work hard and take advantage of every opportunity you get to network and put your name out there. You never know where you’re going to be when you meet someone that can open that one door you need opened so be classy and always take care of your image.

As this San Diego native adventure threw her modeling career as shes now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,she photos well and has the versatility you need as a model,here’s a light interview with Sapphira

CS: So Sapphira, how did you go about building your career?

Sapphira: I’d have to say my wonderful friends Sean Jones and Nikki Dodge.
They are both extremely talented models and have done great things for
themselves in this industry and in life.

CS: So Sapphira, how did you go about building your career?

Sapphira: I had a lot of help from Nikki and Sean. They helped me build an
online portfolio and then that was it… photographers started contacting me.

CS: So youve been in the modeling game for a bit. What fashion shows have you done and whom were they with?

Sapphira: none currently. It hasn’t really been my area,
but you can see some of the work I’ve done in fashion modeling at Boltyou.com.

CS: What advice can you give inspiring Models out there?

Sapphira: Be careful and be patient. The industry can start off pretty slow.
The beginning you don’t always get paid what you want, but it picks up if you
work hard, and you get to work with fantastic and extremely talented people.
The experience is totally worth it, with or without the fame.
