songwrite,i do it all. I’m a multi-genre upcoming producer/artist outta LB/OC California to West Africa (Ghana).My style
of production is eclectic and soulful.
Been in the game since 05′
released my first LP titled M.A.R.S (minds above reality state) which you can find on itunes via audiostreet various websites. M.A.R.S is my movement’ i have team of poets n producers gettin it in right now..

KK~Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into the industry and what inspired you?

TeK DeEp:Well i wanted to state that I come from a pretty big family that’s musically inclined and talented.I first started producing trax in the Summer of 02′ fresh outta high school. I would showcase my talents to my friends and I just ended up steppin my game up along the way runnin into people to help me on a business tip and the journey continues,,i have a great team.

KK~ Can you tell us how you came up with the name TEK DEEP?

TeK DeEp: My technique is deep..thas all it really means the name popped in my head at a dorm party in Long Beach..good times.

KK~In your personal view, what is the music scene like growing up in CALI?

TeK DeEp: Cali is various w high raw talent not everybody gangbangs out here..so i kinda hope that cliche’ can fade away .. no disrespect to the homies who are active Im basically sayin bang better cause our next generation is following you..I feel lyke we have music “scenes” and not jus a scene. Which is coo u got the jerk movement,I support that, u also got the original poplockin g funk music,we have a good balance that can’t be faked or depilcated can’t forget about the bay either.

KK~There are a lot of up-and-coming artists coming out of CALI. Why do feel as tho your one of the few who stands out amongst the rest?

TeK DeEp: I’m different,and I got multiple styles i see myself confident to know im triple threat on the beats and any artists that i wurk wyt near the future definetly will have hyts on their roster! So don’t sleep.

KK~Have you ever felt like too much time passes in the game where you have to make it and that window is closing?

TeK DeEp:Honestly i don’t come wyth those thoughts at all. I put everythyng in God hands.
The game is what it is.Politics don’t stop me frum what i gotta do though as a man.. As an Artist/Producer we all face roadblocks .Its been a rough ryde for me but i don’t plan on stoppin nuttin no tyme soon.Im jus gettin started.

KK~As of right now, who in the industry would you say you listen to on a regular and would probably like to work with in the near future?
TeK DeEp:I stays listenin to some Shawty Redd and Jelly Roll..Terrace Martin a lil Madlib,J Dilla *r.i.p*  alotta producer cats..definely need Snoop and OJ Da Juiceman on my resume’ Nipsey Hussle,Mykestro,Problem jus to name a few..

KK~ Are fans responding to your new music the way you want them to?

TeK DeEp: Yes,..Im pretty sure my supporters
jus waiting to see what im cookin up my name is floating around right now.

KK~ What direction do you feel the Westcoast is headed
TeK DeEp:We headed towards greatness!

KK~ What is your relationship like with some of Cali’s up-and-coming talent and how important is having unity amongst you all?
TeKDeEp:Pretty good! Actually wurd of mouth and social websites like twitter,facebook actually got me real coo w Artists i been wanting to already work with,.A few to name,DPONE,LIL BAM cooked trax for DYNAMIC CERTIFIED,BRITNEY JONES,CALIKINGTUT,NERA,
DREVISHISS,SLIP CAPONE members of LOWLIFE Gz COKE LOC,FLOSSY BOSS CHIC,BIG DOTY.The unity is stronger then it ever really was out here now  I salute people that really get it in out here’
KK~ What direction do you feel the Westcoast is headed heading into 2011?
TeK DeEp: I’m actually anticipating jus more fresh talent comin out..other wise we got this.
