by on Jul.15, 2010, under Upcoming New Artists

KK: Tell us a lil ‘bout yourself & where you grew up at?

-Well my name is S-ROCK, I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I always had a passion for music from early as I can remember since the first time I remember watching “Krush Groove” but I neva thought to persue music until almost the age of 19 and before that I was your everyday kid around the way.

KK: How would you describe your sound of music & what makes you different then anyone else in this game?

- I would describe my music as real. Although you may hear a lot of artists say that I say that because I do music from my heart. I speak what I feel as honest as I can and by doing that alone makes me different.

KK: How did you come up wit the name S-Rock?

- It was actually a name my uncle called me coming up and when I started doing music it was the only name that came to mind that felt like “me”.

KK: What are you working on currently right now? Were can your supporters cop your musik?

- I’m currently working on my debut album (not yet titled) which will be distributed online the an independent company called “HHH Records” thanks to an award I received at their unsigned artists awards show. Supporters can go to www.rockviewent.com.

KK: Favorite track (with the most buzz)? Whats going on with that right know?

- My favorite track right now of mine is “Can’t Take It Anymore”. Right now its available and being promoted with with a song of mine called “Can’t Hold Me Down” which features r&b artist Robert Taylor Jr.

KK: Who are some of your favorite artists you have worked with? Anyone you would like to work wit in the future?

- Actually I just love to create so much that they’re all my favorite. I would like to work with anyone wanting to make some great music.

KK: This is a tough industry, what keeps you motivated to stay wit it?

- What keeps me motivated is the fact that I do music that people can relate to and feel being that I do it from my heart and its genuine.

KK: How do you feel ‘bout the musik industry today & where it’s goin’?

- I feel the music industry is what you make it. There are more opportunities and avenues to get your music out and I feel its going in a good direction because listeners are not limited to what they can hear.

KK: What advice can you offer to aspiring artists?

- My advice would be to just keep working.

KK: We wanna thank you S-Rock  for linkin’ up wit Dreamsblend.com! Any shout outs?

- First I wanna thank you guys for having me and I wanna shout out my RockView Ent. family, my people at Mind Rite Ent., Og Dogg Records, HHH Magazine, my boy Don Juan Naiquan, everyone who supports me and my hometown BROOKLYN.
